Managing Director’s Welcome

yvWelcome to this month’s newsletter. With our ISO and SIA ACS Accreditation audits taking place, we have been working extremely hard in the background to meet all the standards set by these accreditation’s.

Over the last couple of weeks, the Group have been deploying staff to various festivals both based locally and in London. Alongside this, the HQ team have also been busy pre-planning for all fixtures released by our clients. As always please make sure you are continuously checking Parim for the latest available shifts.

As most of you are aware, the Prudential Ride London is fast approaching! Our Operational team have been working relentlessly behind the scenes to make sure this event runs smoothly. Just like last year, we have been allocated four areas: Knightsbridge, South Kensington, Kensington and Hammersmith. Therefore, if you haven’t already, please make sure you book in for this.

Once again, I look forward to seeing you all deployed on the ground.

13 YEARS AT TWICKENHAM

Knights Group Twickenham Stadium

Since establishment, Knights Group Security have provided thirteen years of security services at Twickenham Stadium!

Before Knights Group Security’s formation in 2004, the Group was mainly known as an Approved SIA Contractor.

Through the aid of Tony Knights, the Group was able to deliver SIA courses for the statutory requirement of SIA licenced holders. It was during this time, Tony received a phone call from Twickenham National Rugby Stadium, requesting the supply of manpower for the U2: Vertigo Tour Concert.

Whilst still serving in the Army, Tony filled the initial requirement of 33 stewards with the serving soldiers that worked alongside him. Within a few days, Twickenham requested an additional 176 stewards.

As a result of this, Tony drafted Yvonne Bryce into helping him fill his new commitment.

Due to the high quality of service provided at Twickenham Stadium, the Group was offered a contract to supply manpower on a regular basis.

This showed all clients and competitors the perception that as a company, Knights Group were crowd management specialists.

Since establishment, the Group has provided event security to Twickenham Stadium for over thirteen years. This month, U2 will return to Twickenham Stadium for The Joshua Tree Tour. It will be pleasure to be able to deploy all our staff to this concert, as not only will this reflect on the operational growth of the Group, but it will also be extremely memorable!

EMPLOYEE OF THE HALF-YEARLY

On Monday 19th June, Managing Director Yvonne Bryce presented the half-yearly employee award to both Jessica Redford and Chloe Nancarrow.

Yvonne Bryce stated “Presenting both Jessica and Chloe with this award was a great pleasure, both girls have been working relentlessly behind the scenes ensuring that the Group continues to be compliant with its upcoming annual assessments for both its ISO and SIA ACS accreditations. Both accreditations are schemes that the Group has worked extremely hard on achieving, maintaining and improving over the years, so they are very precious to us.

Presenting this award is a small token of our gratitude for their continued hard work.”

On behalf of everyone at Knights Group, congratulations!

A KNIGHT WITH FRANK BRUNO

On Saturday 23rd June, The Knights Foundation held their Summertime Ball with special guests Frank Bruno MBE, Ian Towning and Garry Richardson at Oakley Hall Hotel.

The evening kicked off with British Radio presenter, Garry Richardson asking Frank Bruno numerous questions – to which Frank responded with his wit and unmistakeable laugh.

There was an increase of excitement which took place when Knights Foundation CEO, Nicky Banger teamed up with Ian Towning for an auction.

The evening continued with our gift of a commissioned oil painting of Frank Bruno in his fight to Mike Tyson was also auctioned.

The evening of the Summer Ball, raised enough funds to purchase a three-wheeler all terrain buggy for Asher Jones. Asher, is a 5-year old boy who has Quadriplegic Spastic Cerebral Palsy. This is where the muscles are stiff or rigid in all four limbs. With the terrain buggy, this will allow Asher and his family to be able to enjoy activities such as walking and going to the beach.
